Parking suspension around Thames Water site entrance

The council is about to commence works to improve the drainage along the boundary of Thames Water site in Ramilles Close. This works is essential to control the volume of surface water in that locality and to mitigate future damage. The works will include installation of deeper drainage channels, improved water relief measures and repairs and resurfacing of the damaged tarmacadam road surface.

Lambeth Council contractors, LAMYA Construction LTD, will be commencing works on Wednesday 9 March 2016, in Ramilles Close. The works are planned to be completed by the end of this month and are subject to weather conditions.

We shall endeavour to minimise the noise and disruption and have reduced the working hours the contractor is permitted to work on site, although there will be some limited disturbance which we wish to apologise for in advance. During the works, Blenheim Gardens RMO will be suspending the parking bays from the Thames Water site entrance to the disabled ramp. Please do not park in this area. The works will be completed in stages to keep the disturbance to the absolute minimum.

There will also need to be a temporary road closure to enable the road surface to be repaired, this we shall be advising on at a later date and will be towards the end of the project.

We will continue to work with the Blenheim Gardens RMO throughout the works; however, if you need any further information please contact the council’s Customer Liaison Officer Alaba Banjo between 08.00 to 16.00 Monday to Friday.

Start date: 9 March 2016
