Learn skills, make friends, and have adventures – Join the Scouts!

1st Brixton Scouts based on the Blenheim Gardens Estate are already doing that and more.  After successfully opening Beavers (6–8-year-olds) and Cubs (8–10-year-olds) they are now opening a Scout Troop (boys and girls aged 10–14-year-olds) to enable more young people to take part in activities and adventures, encouraged to ask the bigger questions, think on their feet, be part of a team and always have a plan B up their sleeves.

Scouts offers over two hundred activities from abseiling and coding to drama and water-zorbing.

The new Scout Troop is opening on Thursday 7th November at St Paul’s with St Saviour’s Community Centre, and there are already young people registered to join in the fun.

Are you an adult who would like to learn or share your skills, we would love for you to get involved and join the adventure.   We are an open and friendly bunch. To be a volunteer in Scouts you don’t need incredible outdoor skills or know how to use a map or compass. We can teach you all that. What’s really needed is a smile, patience, and willingness to get stuck in and share some time to help others. Volunteering’s not just about giving back, it goes both ways. It’s fun, gives you skills for the future, and helps you make new friends in your community.  To find out more or if you can share your skills, please contact Matt at contact.us@scoutlondonscouts.org.uk

Estate Services Survey 23/24 – Deadline Extension

The RMO has decided the extend the deadline for the above survey.

The deadline is now Friday 1st March 2024, with the results being presented at the RMO General meeting planned for Tuesday 26th March 2024 and in future editions of our newsletter.

We have decided to extend the survey so we are able to capture as many responses as possible covering the wide range of services we provide.

The feedback will help us review our existing practices and make any necessary improvements identified.  The results will also enable us to compare the results captured within the same survey in 2022/23.

Please click the following link to a copy of the estate services survey: Survey

If you have already completed the survey, we thank you for your cooperation.

Remember that all returns will be entered into a prize draw to win £50.00 of vouchers.

If you require any help in completing the survey, please get in touch and we will be happy to support.

Thank you in advance!
